Roman was born in Ukraine, where he attained his Law degree. After moving to Vancouver, Roman obtained his Master’s Degree in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University. During his studies to become a notary, Roman achieved top overall marks in all Notarial Statutory Exams for his class, as well as highest marks on the Property Law, Conveyancing, and Contract Law exams, and received prestigious 31st Annual Dr. Bernard W. Hoeter Award, 11th Annual Professor Robert Reid Award, Do Process Award, and Real Estate Institute of BC Award. Roman was commissioned for life by the Supreme Court of British Columbia as a Notary Public in June 2018.

Roman is a keen tennis player and avid cyclist, participating in GranFondo Whistler and Ride to Conquer Cancer, where the latter was a particularly personal and meaningful journey for him. He also takes pleasure in being a dad to his two amazing boys and a husband to his wife.

Roman is also fluent in Russian & Ukrainian.
